Needs assessment is the starting point for any project. It is important that we understand both the problem you face and the essence of the solution you desire. Business needs are an important component to the assessment as well as the current state of technology. These details are important in defining the proper scope of the solution. Solving the wrong problem or solving the right problem at the wrong budget is not success. On time, on target and on budget is what matters.
Designing a proper solution starts with the assessment data and an understanding of the current state of technology. Our engineers are versed in the trends in technology and know which hold real value and which hold only futures. We work with a realistic view of technology and knowledge of the cost of implementation and ownership. In this phase of the project, it is important to build a set of action items and milestones that measure progress and set proper expectations for delivery.
This is the stage where the real work is executed. Regular project status reports and team meetings are important tools to keeping the project on track and management informed. We recognize that the most critical project management points of any project are at the start where good decisions can have a beneficial impact on the entire project timeline.
Every project needs review, progress measurement and reporting to succeed. This phase is a piece of the implementation cycle as well as a part of project closure - it must start while work is being done on the project or the risk increases that the project hits the wrong target, date or budget. Review needs to happen regularly, but is most critical in the early stages when small problems, which can take the project way off track, can be easily fixed.
It is never our goal to be the sole subject matter experts in your system. We are selling fishing poles and the guidance in how to use them, not fish. The value we add to your project includes the jump-start of your team's learning curve on the new product, technology or solution. To these ends, an integral part of our methodology is the education of your staff so that when the project is over, we will leave you empowered to manage your solution.
