NASHUA, NH — September 12, 2006 – NTP Software®, the worldwide leader in the management and control of unstructured data, today announces the addition of the NTP Software QFS™ for NAS Family of Products and the NTP Software Storage M&A™ Family of Products for IBM® System Storage N Series Platforms. These additions extend the NTP Software Smart ILM™ Suite to encompass NAS platforms from IBM, Microsoft, and Network Appliance, along with most SAN and iSCSI technology.

NTP Software QFS™, the on-ramp to the NTP Software Smart ILM™ Suite, gives customers with IBM N Series Filers full policy-based control of their environments. IBM N Series customers will benefit from the breadth of functionality of QFS in facilitating migration to the N Series platform, controlling storage utilization, and moderating growth. In addition, NTP Software QFS™ can empower customers’ end-user communities to participate in storage management by delivering Self-Service Storage™.

IBM customers will also be able to take advantage of sophisticated heuristics through the technology in NTP Software Deep Scan™, the NTP Software Storage Analysis Engine™, and the NTP Software Storage Policy Engine™. Each of these technologies gives its user levels of insight and control that can be found nowhere else.
