NTP Software Wins Silver in Tech Awards Circle

Company Selected Among Top Technology Products, Individuals for 2013

NTP Software®, the worldwide leader in File Data Management, has been awarded a Silver medal in the 2013 Tech Awards Circle for in the Enterprise Software category for its Universal File Access™ (UFA), technology that integrates with the most common storage hosts, cloud and object stores to make an organization’s file data available to end users on any device consistent with its Active Directory security and other policies. Winners were selected by an independent circle of publication reviewers/journalists from nominations based on a broad range of achievements – from product and technology innovations to talented executive leadership and engineering innovators.

Tech Awards Circle celebrates the products, vendors and individuals making a difference in the industry today. The winners represent a broad range of achievements, from hardware to software to services in SMB, midrange, and enterprise markets.

“NTP Software was rated among the ‘best of the best’ for true industry excellence and innovation to be a winnerof the Tech Awards Circlefinalists,” said Kevin Anderson, awards program coordinator. “Our judges were impressed with the level of submissions from all the vendors entering this year’s competition, so to be named a winner of this prestigious award is a testament to the quality and innovation shown by the winners in the high tech community. We wish them continued success and look forward to them defending their title during the next awards period.”

“This award for UFA recognizes a broader trend in IT today, which is that even large enterprise workforces are increasingly mobile and decentralized – a great advantage for corporate employees, who can work at a desk in an office or on their iPad at the airport, but a great headache for IT managers in terms of securing information,” said Bruce Backa, CEO of NTP Software. “The Bring-Your-Own-Device environment is here to stay, and this award helps establish NTP Software in this new, wide-open arena.”

With Universal File Access, IT management can ensure that existing corporate policies and security are extended and enforced, regardless of where data is created, accessed or stored. Unlike consumer-oriented “sync and share” products, UFA is an end-to-end enterprise solution that provides corporate end users the ability to create and interact safely and securely with an organization’s file data, using any device from any Internet or cell phone-enabled location. This ensures that any intellectual property generated by employees is fully secured and treated the same whether it originates in the office, at home or on the road.

About Tech Awards Circle
Tech Awards Circle was established this year to truly honor the ‘best of the best’ in technology. Tech Awards Circle is not affiliated with an analyst firm or a media company, both of which are directly supported by tech vendors through consulting relationships or advertising sales, so it is uniquely unbiased and immune to conflicts of interest. Entries are judged by an independent circle of journalists, including product reviewers, each with at least a decade of experience covering technology from consumer electronics to enterprise-class computing. To prevent these judges from being unduly influenced by vendors, they have agreed to remain anonymous. For more information or to be added to the mailing list please visit
